Help with WriteNow Field and the portal

WriteNow Field is the iPhone app for the WriteNow portal. Everything in it also works in a web browser on a phone, tablet or computer: start a job here.

There’s no account or password. The link WriteNow emails you opens your jobs, in the app or in a browser. If you lose it, or think someone else has it, ask WriteNow for a new one: the old link stops working.

Scanning a room

Scanning needs an iPhone with the LiDAR sensor (the Pro models from iPhone 12 Pro on). On any other phone, enter the room’s length, width and height instead. Walk the room slowly with the camera on the walls, then tap Done.

No signal

Open the job’s drying log once with a signal. After that it opens without one: readings, answers and photos you make are kept on the phone and go up on their own when the signal is back, on the day you made them. Closing out a visit needs a signal, because it prints the drying report.

Big files

Files up to 2 GB go up in parts, including Xactimate .esx files, and a dropped signal picks up where it stopped.
